About Women and Youth Future Assist Organization:

Women & Youth Future Assist (WYFAO) is a non-profiting, non–governmental and non–political organization that is mainly involved in humanitarian and developmental activities and serves the people in need. WYFAO was founded back in 2016 by a group of young Afghan professionals with high spirit of helping and shaping lives in Afghanistan. WYFAO was established to play a prominent role in addressing the actual needs of poor people and enable all Afghans speak for their rights and have an enabling environment for their development and prosperity.

 

Job Description:

Job Summary: The organization's safety and security procedures must be implemented and monitored by the safety and security officer. This position is essential for guaranteeing the security of staff members, guests, and corporate property. In order to create, execute, and manage safety and security policies and procedures, the officer will collaborate closely with a number of departments.

Roles & Responsibilities

  1. Safety precautions:
  • To protect the organization's facilities, assets, and staff, adopt security rules and procedures.
  • Make security assessments and suggestions for changes as necessary.
  • Control access control devices, CCTV cameras, and security guards (if necessary).
  1. Safety Conformity:
  • Make that all applicable safety laws, rules, and regulations are followed by the organization.
  • Conduct risk analyses, safety audits, and inspections.
  • Create emergency response procedures and safety measures.
  1. Incident Response
  • Organize reactions to accidents, crises, and security events.
  • Investigate safety mishaps, thefts, or breaches of security, and inform the proper authorities of your findings.
  • Maintain incident records and compile incident reports.
  1. Instruction and Education:
  • Employees, contractors, and visitors should all get safety and security training.
  • Encourage a culture of safety-conscious behavior inside the organization.
  1. Security Awareness
  • Stay up to date on security concerns and developments.
  • Inform the appropriate stakeholders about security-related information and updates.
  1. Emergency Preparation
  • Develop and execute emergency action plans, which should cover evacuation and crisis communication techniques.
  • To ensure readiness, do drills and exercises.

 

Job Requirements:

Experience/ Education.

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Security Management, Criminal Justice, or a related discipline).
  • Relevant certification or training in security and safety management preferred.
  • Previous experience in security or safety roles, with a track record of success.
  • Knowledge of local and national security regulations and best practices.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to analyze and interpret security data.
  • Proficiency in security software and systems.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Language Requirements:

  • Proficiency in written and spoken English, Dari and Pashto.
