Job Description:
Job Summary: The Social Mobilizer's main goal is to encourage community involvement, mobilize local residents, and raise awareness of and participation in projects that are connected to the community.
Roles & Responsibilities
Community Mobilization:
Create and put into action methods to encourage community people to take part in program activities.
To aid with mobilization efforts, identify community leaders and volunteers and engage them.
Community Participation
Create and preserve a positive rapport with local authorities, organizations, and community members.
serve as a conduit between the business and the neighborhood, encouraging cooperation.
Awareness and Advocacy
Increase community awareness of the organization's mission, objectives, and programs.
Promote community needs and interests, making sure they are taken into account when designing programs.
Capacity Development
Organize and lead workshops and training sessions for community members to develop their abilities.
Encourage volunteers and local leaders to participate actively in the implementation of the program.
Needs Assessment:
Conduct community assessments to identify priorities, challenges, and opportunities.
Collaborate with community members to develop action plans and solutions.
Information Dissemination:
Disseminate information about program activities, events, and resources to community members through various communication channels.
Partnership Development:
Identify and establish partnerships with local organizations, institutions, and agencies that can support program objectives.
Coordinate with external stakeholders to leverage resources and expertise for community development.
Documentation and Reporting:
Keep complete records of all communications, actions, and comments within the community.
Report on community engagement and mobilization initiatives on a regular basis.
Job Requirements:
Experience/ Education.
Secondary level education with technical trainings an advantage.
Proven experience as a social mobilizer or community organizer.
Strong knowledge of community development principles and participatory approaches.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to build trust and rapport with diverse community members.
Proficiency in organizing and facilitating community meetings and workshops.
Commitment to inclusivity, gender equality, and social justice.
Language Requirements:
Proficiency in written and spoken Dari and Pashto.
