About Women and Youth Future Assist Organization:
Women & Youth Future Assist (WYFAO) is a non-profiting, non–governmental and non–political organization that is mainly involved in humanitarian
and developmental activities and serves the people in need. WYFAO was founded back in 2016 by a group of young Afghan professionals with high
spirit of helping and shaping lives in Afghanistan. WYFAO was established to play a prominent role in addressing the actual needs of poor people and
enable all Afghans speak for their rights and have an enabling environment for their development and prosperity.

 

Job Description:
Technical Duties

  1. Plans Survey designs and implement the construction of WYFAO CBE project as Schools Rehabilitation, classes repairing.
  2. Conducts research on problems of soil drainage and conservation applying knowledge of civil engineering
  3. Design and understand a construction system that will give the most excellent result to an area.
  4. Accurate and complete Bill of Quantities developed separately for every single project and signed by WYFAO responsible staff.
  5. Strong knowledge of the local construction industry
  6. Strong knowledge of construction methods
  7. Strong knowledge of proper inspection methods and procedures for water drainage and asphalt/concrete road paving
  8. Strong knowledge of construction management principles and practice
  9. Strong familiarity of local/regional codes and ordinances
  10. Strong organizational and communication skills.
  11. Ability to interact effectively with international and national personnel.
  12. Prepare accurate related drawings.
  13. Ensure all required resources for each small construction project at the community level are well estimated and planned for procurement.
  14. Make sure construction and no construction materials required for implementing these projects are procured by logistics and provided in the community on time.
  15. Accurate and complete Bill of Quantities developed separately for every single project.
  16. Supervise the quality of construction works and provide necessary on-the-job training for skilled labor
  17. Other necessary inputs concerning construction activities.
  18. Other tasks assigned by Supervisor

 

Reporting and Administration

  1. Monthly progress report of construction activities to be provided.
  2. Develop plans and reports on a weekly/monthly and quarterly basis.
  3. Ensure that separate databases are developed to capture all quantitative details for each project and are up to date.
  4. Monitor and provide inputs in procuring construction materials.
  5. Ensure that the project Bill of Quantity is properly filed and kept for reporting purposes.
  6. Develop all necessary monitoring and supervision tools used for construction projects.
  7. Ensure each construction project is implemented on time by
  8.  

Job Requirements:

  1. At least 5 years of working experience in education sectors in renowned national/ International NGO’s, UN agencies.
  2. Skill in project planning, implementing, Technical Training, Mathematical, Problem Solving. Decision Making
  3. Computer knowledge of MS Office, MS Excel and PowerPoint, E-mail in internet browsing
  4. Has strong team management skill
  5. Has knowledge of community mobilization activities
  6. Management experience is essential, preferably in running programs at the provincial level.
  7. Prior experience in rural/community development programs is preferred

Language Requirements:
Fluency in Pashto and Dari; working knowledge of English is highly required.
