professionals with a high spirit of helping and shaping lives in Afghanistan. WYFA was founded to play a prominent role in addressing the real needs
of poor people and enable all Afghans to speak for their rights and have an enabling environment for their development and prosperity.


Job Description:
District Education Coordinator


Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. Plan, manage and coordinate the implementation of CBE/ALC project in the target districts in coordination with the
    project manager, Main office Education coordinator and program manager to ensure that activities are delivered as
    planned
  2. Plan, manage and monitor day-to-day activities and performance of Teachers and Social mobilizers also; Ensure effective
    coordination and representation to, and with, the district governor, and all other relevant stakeholders.
  3. Manage the district team and make sure that the team respect the project guidelines.
  4. Manage and uphold the implementation of WYFAO policies including a Code of conduct, Child Protection, PSEA and anti-
    fraud policies.
  5. Responsible to ensure team members are appropriately trained, supported and have access to resources regarding issues
    that are identified and actioned in accordance with the safety and security policy and procedure.
  6. Make sure that CBE/ALC classrooms are safe and secure, equipped with school materials.
  7. Any other duties as may be assigned by the Project Manager and Program department.

 

Job Requirements

1. Minimum five years of experience in education with experience working in education administration or management
NGO’s , UN, UN funded Projects or similar
2. Must be certified to teach in Afghanistan or produce an equivalent certification in accordance with MOE standards. Certification must be
provided prior to hiring.
3. Must have received a degree from a recognized university. Such institution shall be one that has the approval or certification of the MOE.
Credentials must be provided prior to hiring.
4. Must proficiently speak, read, and write Pashtu, Dari, and English

requirement of all staff, in addition to related mandatory training. All staff must ensure that they understand and act in accordance with this clause.
